Saudi Arabia’s government has issued a strong denunciation of the recent assaults by the Houthi group on civilian and economic targets in cities such as Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, and Najran, labeling these actions as aggressive. The Cabinet emphasized the kingdom’s right to protect its sovereignty and its people from such attacks. Additionally, the ministers condemned the Houthis’ assaults on commercial vessels and international maritime routes in the Red Sea.
The attacks have reportedly resulted in injuries to over 70 individuals, including women and children, across several Saudi locations. In response, the authorities have been instructed to ensure the highest standard of medical care is provided to those affected by the violence.
In a meeting chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah, the Cabinet also reviewed the situation in the Palestinian territories. Discussions centered around Arab efforts to curb Israeli actions in Jerusalem and the expansion of settlements, reflecting ongoing regional tensions.
During the session, the Crown Prince briefed the ministers on his recent engagements with leaders from Egypt, Greece, and Oman. These discussions are part of broader diplomatic efforts to navigate complex regional issues and reinforce Saudi Arabia’s strategic partnerships.
The meeting concluded with a positive note on international cooperation, as the Cabinet welcomed a new agreement between the Saudi and German foreign ministries.
