Prince Faisal stated that Saudi Arabia views the UN session as a critical opportunity to bolster the role of international institutions in maintaining global peace, upholding international law, and enhancing cooperation to resolve conflicts and shared challenges. The Kingdom is prioritizing respect for state sovereignty, peaceful dispute resolution, and the security of international waterways amidst ongoing regional tensions.
In addition to these diplomatic priorities, Saudi Arabia is focusing on artificial intelligence and sustainable development during this year’s UN assembly. The Kingdom aims to promote the responsible use of AI to enhance efficiency, stimulate innovation, and contribute to both economic and social development, aligning with its Vision 2030 initiative to foster innovation and diversify its economy.
Saudi Arabia, a UN member since 1945, has consistently used multilateral forums to engage in regional and international issues. The Kingdom has been active in supporting diplomatic initiatives concerning conflicts in Ukraine, Gaza, and other regions, illustrating its commitment to global peace and stability.
