Both countries are keen to increase the presence of Serbian companies in the Saudi market and encourage more Saudi investment in Serbia.

In a significant diplomatic development, Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister Waleed Elkhereiji and Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Duric met in Belgrade to sign an agreement that removes visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and official passports. This move is anticipated to facilitate smoother official exchanges and strengthen ties between the two nations.

The economic relationship between Saudi Arabia and Serbia has seen rapid growth, with bilateral trade reaching $121 million in 2025, a dramatic increase from 2012 levels. The momentum continued into the first half of 2026, with trade surging to $130.4 million, marking a 152% rise compared to the same period in the previous year. This upward trend underscores the growing economic partnership between the two countries.
