These acts have been labeled as aggression, and the cabinet emphasized the kingdom’s right to defend its sovereignty, as well as its citizens and residents, against such offenses. Moreover, the ministers expressed their disapproval of Houthi attacks on commercial vessels and international maritime navigation in the Red Sea.
The assaults have resulted in injuries to more than 70 individuals, including women and children, across various Saudi cities. In response, authorities have been instructed to ensure the highest level of medical care is provided to those affected by the violence. This commitment to healthcare underscores the kingdom’s resolve to support its population in times of crisis.
In addition to addressing domestic security issues, the Cabinet also turned its attention to international matters, specifically developments in the Palestinian territories. The ministers discussed Arab efforts aimed at countering Israeli actions in Jerusalem and the expansion of settlements, underscoring the regional implications of these issues.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman presided over the cabinet meeting in Jeddah, where he provided updates on his recent engagements with leaders from Egypt, Greece, and Oman. These discussions are part of Saudi Arabia’s broader diplomatic efforts to strengthen regional alliances and address shared challenges.
Furthermore, the Cabinet celebrated the establishment of a strategic dialogue between the Saudi and German foreign ministries. This agreement is designed to enhance consultation and coordination between the two nations, reflecting a mutual commitment to fostering international cooperation and understanding.
